I’ve been making my iced coffee recipe for the past year and am still in love with it! But after drinking the same thing on repeat multiple times a day, I wanted to switch things up in the coffee department. So I bring you, my new delicious iced latte recipe!
My Daily Sugar-Free & Vegan Iced Latte Recipe
You guys know I love all things sweet, but when it comes to coffee, I tend to avoid the overly sugary recipes.
When I drink super sweet coffee, I just end up crashing an hour later, and ain’t nobody got time for that. Also, after drinking unsweetened coffee for a while now, I honestly think it tastes so much better that way.
When it comes to lattes, I definitely needed a recipe that wasn’t too sweet, so I could drink it every single day. …Usually a couple of times a day. 🤪
The recipe I came up with involves the same ingredients as my iced coffee recipe: unsweetened vanilla almond milk, NutPod, and coffee. It’s that simple but so tasty!
I make all of my coffee recipes (and anything else that involves almond milk) with Califia unsweetened vanilla almond milk. For a while, I was using the coconut-almond milk blend from them, but regular vanilla is the OG and goes with everything.
I also never make a coffee beverage without my nutpods now! I tried to find a non-dairy creamer that I liked for years with no luck. Until I found these babies!
nutpods are a vegan coffee creamer that blend together almond and coconut cream, to give you a delicious creamy beverage. They are the perfect combination for any type of coffee or latte.
And the best part: they’re unsweetened and have no artificial sweeteners. Even though they have no sugar, they still have a hint of sweetness that gives your coffee the extra kick it needs, without all the extra sugar (and crash later).

How Do You Make an Iced Latte?
Up until about a few weeks ago, I was stuck making regular coffee every day because I wouldn’t invest in an espresso machine. I’ve known I wanted one for years but kept telling myself that it was too expensive.
Luckily, I found an amazing (and budget-friendly) espresso machine on Amazon! Jeremy got it for me for my birthday. 🙂 But I would have ended up buying it for myself if he hadn’t.
This espresso machine has been incredible for me so far and was not in the $200-$300 range like a lot of other espresso machines. It’s very affordable, supposed to last a long time, and makes great espresso.
And if you think about it, it pays for itself after a few weeks if you typically buy lattes at coffee shops. Instead of spending $5/day on an overpriced latte, you can make your own at home for a fraction of the price. All without having to leave the house!
I linked the espresso machine I bought here. It’s normally $89, but is on sale for $59 right now!
To make the iced latte, all you need is almond milk (or your milk preference), NutPod creamer, and espresso.
I’ve been using Starbucks blonde espresso and grinding it with an at-home coffee grinder. To make espresso, you grind your beans on the finest setting.
I like to grind my coffee at home because it keeps it a lot fresher and more flavorful. You can also buy pre-ground espresso!
Step-By-Step Iced Latte Recipe
To make the iced latte, first, grind the espresso beans on the finest setting (if you bought pre-ground, skip this step). I use 1 tbsp of ground espresso to make one shot. So when I scoop the espresso beans, I’ll do a heaping tbsp before grinding it.
Once the beans are ground, scoop them into your filter basket and put it into the espresso machine.
For the Sowtech espresso machine I linked above, there’s a super easy 1-minute Youtube video that shows you how to use it. It comes with instructions too, of course, but I find videos so much easier.
After adding the water and pulling your espresso shots (I use 2 shots for one latte), immediately transfer them to a cup and add milk. You want to try to add milk in the first 20-30 seconds after pulling your shots, so they retain as much flavor as possible.
Once you have your espresso shots in a cup, add in about 8 oz of almond milk and a splash of NutPod creamer. You can add more or less milk & creamer, depending on your preference for how creamy you like your coffee.
Fill up the rest of your cup with ice and voila! You have a delicious iced latte at home, in a matter of minutes.

I love making coffee shot drinks at home. Usually I go for a turmeric latte and have written a great recipe for that. I’ve heard a lot about NutPods so will have to check those out.
