Hi all! Hope your holidays were fabulous (or as fabulous as they can be in 2020) and you’re back to work/school/etc., with rejuvenated energy & a fresh start. & HELLO 2021! We’ve been waiting for you for oh so long. 🙂 I wanted to drop in and give y’all a quick update: we started a YouTube channel! *woot woot!* It is incredibly new and only has our 1 (awkward) intro video on it, but we are planning to get more videos out (soon!) for you guys. I’ll go more into detail throughout this post.
Why start a YouTube channel?
We decided to start creating YouTube content because after some wise words from my younger brother, Luke… People don’t have the attention span for long blog posts anymore, but they do LOVE video. After thinking on that for a bit, I realized he is completely right. As much as I love blogging (and don’t plan on stopping, by any means), reading a blog post isn’t for everyone.
We needed to diversify our content a bit and start getting our faces & voices on camera for the world to see. Which, let me tell you, is SCARY. Starting this blog (and our Instagram) was easy because it was something that I’d been wanting to do for a long time and was pretty comfortable with. I’ve always loved reading/writing, so typing up blog posts comes naturally to me. I don’t give it a second thought.
However, making a YouTube video and trying to talk in front of a camera, say things that matter (and actually make sense), and not come off as extremely awkward?! Well, we obviously haven’t mastered that yet. 😉
But, I truly believe that as time goes on, and we work on making more video content, we’ll get much better at it. Cliché as it may be, practice really does make perfect.
Our YouTube Channel
I promised I’d make this a quick post, so I’ll cut myself off now. Like I said, we only have one video up so far, but are planning on filming & uploading more, very soon.
We’re going to make videos about the same types of things we talk about on here (fitness, healthy food, nutrition tips, intuitive eating, mental health, balanced lifestyle tips, etc.) So if that sounds like something you’d be into, come check us out!
We’d love to connect with you guys more on YouTube, so if you’d be so kind, subscribe to our channel. We’ll be looking out for you in the comments section!
(Please don’t judge us for the bad editing & very okay video quality. We will get better! ;))
Looking forward to seeing you over there!! 🙂
