I posted part 1 of my Factor review here, where I reviewed the pricing, nutrition, taste, and overall pros and cons. After trying a few more meals, I wanted to do a meal-by-meal breakdown of the new meals! I’ll keep this post updated as I try new Factor meals. That way, if you decide to try out Factor for yourself, you’ll know what meals are actually worth trying.
Best Factor Meals (ranked worst to best)
Read part 1 for a full breakdown of Factor. I also reviewed six additional meals in part 1.
Below, I’ll organize the meals from worst to best (by Jeremy’s and my ratings). Let’s get into it!
Red Pepper Queso Chicken
An overall decent meal! The queso on the chicken was honestly delicious (it’s queso – how could it not be?!) It was just the right amount of spicy. The roasted grape tomatoes with the chicken were really good too.
The rice and pepper mixture was very… Okay. It didn’t have much flavor and barely tasted like it had salt and pepper. The peppers were a little overcooked. It tasted good in the same bite as the queso chicken though!
I’d rate this one a 6/10. Probably wouldn’t get it again, but it does the job.
Blackened Salmon (keto)
The salmon was delicious. I’ve been pleasantly surprised with both the salmon meals I’ve tried from Factor so far. (I reviewed the first one in part 1 of the review). It’s cooked really well for being a pre-made meal, flaky, and falls apart. The seasoning on this was great too.
The cauliflower grits were surprisingly tasty! Creamy and flavorful.
I wasn’t a fan of the broccoli. I still ate it and it was okay, the seasoning on it just wasn’t my cup of tea. It was cheesy though which I liked.
Overall, I’d give this a 7/10. like I’ve said for past keto meals, I’d prefer if they weren’t keto and had a carb of some sort. But I’m going into it knowing it’s a keto meal, so obviously, that’s not what it’s all about. Just my personal preference.
Jalapeño Popper Burger (keto)
The burger is delicious and spicy. Well cooked, not overcooked at all. The spice lingers in your mouth a bit after. The dipping sauce is yummy to dip your burger it into. The veggies are okay… kind of plain, but not too bad. The overall rating is a 7/10. The burger itself is an 8.
Creamy Rosemary Chicken Pasta
The pasta is delicious! I was worried it’d be dry whole wheat pasta of some sort, but it’s chewy and perfectly cooked. The chicken is moist and yummy too. The sauce is fresh and creamy as well.
The broccoli and cauliflower is pretty tasty too and the honey butter tastes really yummy on them. They’re chopped tiny too so it’s easy to eat.
Honestly, I’d eat this every day. 9/10. The only thing I’ll knock off points for is that some of the chicken pieces were too big for a pasta dish. And there were a few not-so-great bites of chicken.
Italian Herb Chicken (& Risotto)
The chicken is cooked SO WELL. It’s moist and not dry at all, with grill marks on top. I could easily cut through it with a butter knife, which is definitely saying something. The seasoning was delicious as well, it had a lot of flavor. Paired perfectly with the veggie risotto. Creamy, dreamy, delicious.
I ate this for lunch and it was the perfect portion size. Satisfying and just the right amount of full.
The green beans were good too. They were cooked well and tasted fresh and even a little sweet. Yum!
I wasn’t expecting much out of this meal, since it seems like a basic chicken and veggie meal, but it was one of my favorites so far. I have nothing bad to say. 10/10.
