I have been truly slackin’ on coming up with fitness and health goals lately. (You can read all about my fitness rut here). With the state the world is in right now, health and fitness have been the last thing on my mind. But exercise and nutrition help me feel my best, even when things are whack.
Let’s Crush a 30-Day Fitness Challenge!
So I want to get back into the swing of things… I created a 30-day fitness challenge for the month of July that I would LOVE for you guys to join me on. 🙂 It’s going to incorporate jumping back on the saddle with my workouts, alongside nutrition & health goals.
Fitness Goals
The main thing I want to accomplish is to walk 2 miles every day. This may not seem like a lot to my avid walker friends out there… But to me, right now, it’s definitely a challenge! With the 90+ degree heat in Tampa (every. single. day.), even getting outside to walk two miles is rough.
I also am going to start working out 2-3x/week. Again, not the *most challenging goal ever*, but it’s a big step from where I’ve been at the past few months!
Honestly, I don’t think any goal is ever too small if it’s something that is better than what you were doing before. It takes small steps at first to make big changes!
So as easy it is to downplay your goals and progress, just take a minute to appreciate how far you’ve come. (And how far you’re going to go in the future – especially with this 30-day fitness challenge! ;))
Health Goal #1
Anyways, I digress… The health & nutrition portion of this challenge is going to be a little tough. But it’s something that I know makes me feel my absolute best and that I’m always proud of myself when I do!
I’m going to aim to get 5+ servings of fruits/veggies every day. This should be easy with how many fruits & vegetables are in season right now, but it takes some effort. You can’t just go through the Chick-fil-A drive-thru and pick up a day’s worth of fruit/veg, ya feel me?
To accomplish this, I’m going to grocery shop and go to the farmers market every weekend. Then, I’ll meal prep on Sundays so I have a bunch of fruit/veg heavy meals on hand. This way, I’ll be prepared and take a lot of daily work out of accomplishing this goal!
If you’re needing some new *yummy* ideas for healthy recipes, I have a bunch on my Pinterest boards. Check them out! 🙂
Health Goal #2
The other portion of my nutrition goal is to actually drink more than enough water each day. Mary wrote an awesome post on why you need to be drinking more water, that you can find right here!
While I normally have a bottle or glass of water by my side at all times, I’ll ignore it 99% of the time. So the intention is there, I’m just not pulling through most of the time.
I used this nifty water calculator to see how much H2O I need based on my weight, age, and activity level.
The calculator told me I need 2.8 liters or 11.7 cups per day. This seemed like a lot more than I was expecting, but that’s what I’m going to aim for!
*I’m not sure how accurate or fact-based this water calculator is, so don’t take it for facts. I just wanted a rough estimate of how much I needed. 🙂
My 30-Day Fitness Challenge Planner
I do much better with accomplishing my goals when I can check them off a list! So I created a July 30-day fitness challenge planner, that I will share with you guys! To get the free planner, just click this link. 🙂
This planner was built for July (obviously) but can easily be utilized for any other month/year. Just use the same labels (2m, f/v, and h2o) for the month you’re participating in the challenge.
^^^ I included a screenshot of the 30-day fitness challenge planner so you can see what you’re getting yourself into. 😉 It’s much easier to use if you go through the link and download or print it!
You can either print the planner off or leave it in Google docs/Word form. It’s up to you and your individual preference. I prefer to have a physical copy and be able to actually check things off, but that’s just me!
If you want to keep it on your computer, you can either strike through or highlight the goals when you complete them. Or anything else you’d like to do!
I made this specific 30-day fitness challenge planner for July. But if you guys like the setup and want it updated for future months, I’d definitely be willing to do that! Just let me know in the comments if you enjoyed this setup or if there’s anything you would like to see changed. 🙂
If you still need a little boost of motivation when it comes to accomplishing your goals, check out this post! I listed 15 amazing fitness products that are sure to get the motivation flowing.
We’re in this (30-day fitness challenge) together!
I will keep y’all posted with my progress on the Gram. If you end up doing the challenge with me, I would love to see it!! If you share your progress on your stories/posts, please go ahead and tag us (@vitalityvixens), so we can see it!

I LOVE This! You’d be surprised how much you can change your life in just 30 days. I did a challenge March when the world started going crazy to do just 15 minutes of Yoga in the AM for a 30 day challenge and it legit changed my life and naturally just infiltrated to other areas of my life. In fact we’re going into July and I’ve kept it up. Love that you added multiple areas to focus on but still kept it reasonable. I’m going to print out this sheet and participate too!! Good luck. Can’t wait to see your results

A 15 minute yoga daily challenge sounds awesome too! I might have to incorporate that into my daily routine as well.
Can’t wait to hear how the challenge goes for you! 😍
Take care, Erin

I really like your 30-day plan! I can relate on having the walking goal. Two miles is what I try to hit daily too.
Thanks for the tips!

Love this post!!
My main goal is to maintain my health! But to also work back towards my bod when I was a college athlete 🙃
My husband is a huge motivator, as he’s a pro athlete and life revolves around health & fitness! LOL 😆
My favorite workouts are HIIT 🤪
Thanks so much for sharing this post!!!

Thank you so much!! 😊
That is a great goal! I’m the same where I just want to feel healthy – but your goal to work towards your athlete body is awesome!
It’s so great when your significant other is able to be a big motivator like that!

Excellent post! I am a fitness enthusiast myself and celebrating my 1 year of regular working out. I follow Lucy Read’s 7 minutes work out and try to exercise 5-6 days in a week.
