Healthy baking is my favorite category of recipe posts to whip up, so it’s really easy for me to spend hours in the kitchen baking these goodies. 9 times out of 10 I would prefer to bake than to cook – is that just me!? Anywho… Today I’m coming at ya with my delicious gluten-free birthday cake donuts! (Also dairy-free)
Dairy-Free & Gluten-Free Birthday Cake Donuts
Donuts:
- 1 cup gluten-free flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¼ cup honey or sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ cup sprinkles
- ¼ cup vanilla oat milk nutpods (use code “vitalityvixens for 15% off)
- ½ cup almond milk
Vanilla Glaze:
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp nutpods (use code “vitalityvixens for 15% off)
- sprinkles for topping!

Directions
- Preheat to 400 F.
- Grease a donut pan (I used coconut oil spray). Add dry ingredients (gluten-free flour, baking powder, salt) to a plate/small bowl. In a medium bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients (sugar/honey, eggs, vanilla, nutpods, almond milk). Fold in sprinkles.
- Pour the mixture evenly into each section of your donut pan.
- Bake for 10-14 minutes, or until a toothpick (or reusable baking tester) comes out clean.
- Allow the donuts to cool for 5 minutes in the pan then pop them out onto a cooling rack to cool completely.
- Mix the glaze ingredients (powdered sugar, vanilla, nutpods) together until smooth in a small bowl. Pour glaze evenly onto cooled donuts. Top with sprinkles if desired!
