I’m back with another Gymshark review! 😉 We have so many to choose from if you’re in the mood for something else:
But today, I’ll be giving my honest opinions on some of Gymshark’s most popular tops.
An Honest Gymshark Review
In this Gymshark review, I’ll be chatting about the Vital Seamless 2.0 long-sleeve crop top, the Adapt Fleck seamless long-sleeve top, and the studio t-shirt.
Let’s get into it!
Vital Seamless 2.o Long Sleeve Crop Top (in Pearl Blue Marl)
I absolutely loved the light blue color in this top, so I had to buy it. But honestly… The fit is just not great for actual workouts. Which is surprising, since Vital Seamless is one of their most popular collections that they’re known for. You’d think it’d be the best of the best for working out, since Gymshark is, after all… A fitness brand.
But sadly, this didn’t work well for me at all, and I never wear it anymore. The top rides up SO bad. I have to pull it down every time I move at the gym, so legitimately multiple times a minute.
Here’s a photo to show you what I mean:
The neckline is supposed to be nicely placed on your body like this:
Well, kind of like that… It was already riding up a bit even though I’d just put the top on for the picture.
Outside of the neckline, which is the main issue for me, because I can’t do one single set of a lift without it bothering me…. The arm length is a bit too long as well. I’m also unsure what to do if you wear an apple watch, or another fitness watch to workout. You can’t really put the sleeves over your watch to cover your hand, because then you can’t see your watch. But if you push it up (how I did above) it looks a little crazy.
Okay, onto the pros of this top. The color is gorgeous. I love the light blue and really wish the fit/function of this top was better, so I could actually wear it.
The material is on the thinner side and really comfy. It is a tight-fitting crop top, and especially tight in the waist area. Which is good to note before buying it, because you can’t really tell that from the size charts or pictures online.
You can see Mary & my fit guide here to see our measurements and typical sizes. If that helps with sizing it up based on the pictures.
Overall, this top was a miss for me due to its functionality for actual workouts. I’ll probably end up donating it.
Adapt Fleck Seamless Long Sleeve Crop Top (in Coconut White)
This long sleeve crop top, on the other hand, is absolutely a winner. First of all, the coconut white color… I’m absolutely obsessed. I don’t love a pure/bright white on myself, personally. But a more cream-colored white always hits the spot. And this one is phenomenal.
I love the fleck collection as a whole for its speckled design. It’s really cute but subtle.
Compared to the Vital 2.0 top, the fit of this is eons better. It doesn’t ride up really at all during your workout, and stays in place the whole time.
It has a cute little scrunch detail in the back too, which is a nice addition.
My only complaint with the sizing is that it does hug in really tight at the waist. This may not be a bad thing, because it probably helps keep it in place. Just a little tighter comfort-wise than I would typically like, especially on a more bloated day.
This top has a thicker material too, like most of the Adapt collection. It’s overall incredibly comfortable, fits great, and looks super cute. If I was to buy another Gymshark long-sleeve top, it’d definitely be from this collection.
Studio T-Shirt (in Coconut White)
This shirt is… meh. I thought it looked really cute online, a typical creamy white t-shirt, but with a nice cut-out in the back to make it a little more fun. In real life, the top is fairly cute and looks how it does online. It’s just a little looser than I would’ve expected, and I never end up reaching for it to actually work out.
There’s nothing necessarily wrong with this shirt. The fit is fine, it fits like a typical t-shirt – a little looser fitting than a lot of Gymshark’s other tops. And the cutout in the back is really cute. The material is also pretty thin and comfortable.
The color is really nice too. It’s the same coconut white as I got the adapt long sleeve in, and you already know how much I love that color.
But for a $40 t-shirt, I guess I was just expecting something more. Either for it to be extremely comfortable, or way more flattering than other regular t-shirts I own. Unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. But maybe my initial expectations were too high for a white t-shirt.
