Hey y’all! I’m back with yet another Gymshark x Whitney review. But sadly, this will be the last of this series, since this is the last collection Whitney will do with Gymshark. I knew I had to snatch up some of these pieces when I saw it was the last chance I’d have. But as always, I wanted to share with y’all if these pieces are ACTUALLY worth the hype. So let’s get into this honest (& final) Gymshark Whitney Simmons review…
Gymshark Whitney Simmons Review
You know the drill. I’ll start this off by naming the 9 criteria that’ll be covered in this review:
- comfort level
- stretch/compression
- support
- appearance
- functionality (in the gym)
- squat proof?
- sizing (true to size?)
- scrunch bum?
- price point vs. similar brands/pieces (worth the price?)
I bought the everyday pocket leggings, the longline sports bra, and the Whitney cap (all in leaf green). Let’s get into the pros and cons of all these pieces.
If you’d rather watch the review and see my full try-on, and how the pieces look ~in action~ check out my YouTube review below.
Whitney Everyday Pocket Leggings
- Comfort Level: These leggings are incredibly soft and comfortable. Definitely a buttery soft material, way more so than most of Gymshark’s leggings.
- Stretch/Compression: The compression is very low (which I like). They’re stretchy, but not too stretchy where they stretch out and don’t bounce back. They give you enough room to move around and don’t cut off circulation anywhere, though.
- Appearance: The leaf green color looks exactly how it does online, which is a win. These leggings are gorgeous and all-around flattering.
- Squat Proof: Unfortunately, these leggings are not fully squat-proof. I’d say they’re at around 60% squat-proof level. This is probably due to the lighter color, so it’s kind of to be expected, but still disappointing for a $56 pair of leggings. They don’t show through too much to where I won’t wear them though. I’ll probably just aim to wear them on more upper body days, to be safe.
- Functionality (in the gym): These held up great in the gym! They stay up and in place during all types of exercises and are perfectly comfortable.
- Sizing: These are true to size. I’m normally a medium in leggings and bought both a small and a medium to try out. The medium fits perfectly and the small was a little too tight. Definitely buy your size in these.
- Scrunch Bum: These do, indeed, have a scrunch bum. If you’ve read my previous reviews, you know I’m not typically a fan of scrunch bums (at all). I find them so uncomfortable and hate having to pick out a wedgie 24/7. But like Whitney’s previous Gymshark collections, this scrunch bum is subtle and COMFY. These are the only scrunch leggings I’ve found that I’ll actually wear. They give you a little extra accentuation too, which is nice.
- Price Point: These leggings come in at $56, which is a little pricey. To be fair, they’re high-quality leggings that’ll last you a long time. So if you love a buttery soft, comfy legging as much as I do, they’re worth the price, because they’ll last you forever. Compared to Gymshark’s other leggings, they’re pretty similar. The ones I looked up came in at $38 (Training), $54 (Vital Seamless 2.0), $64 (Elevate), $50 (Flex), and $54 (Legacy). Compared to other brands, I found the most popular Buffbunny leggings at $70, and NVGTN leggings at $48. I don’t personally love NVGTN leggings (I think they’re uncomfy and the scrunch bum gives a wedgie). So I’d 100% of the time pick the $56 Whitney leggings over NVGTN leggings. But it all comes down to personal preference at the end of the day.

Whitney Longline Sports Bra
- Comfort Level: Very comfortable! There’s an adjustable strap in the back, to let you adjust the fit around your rib cage, as well as the typical adjustable straps on your shoulders. The material is buttery soft.
- Stretch/Compression: Not heavy compression. Stretchy enough to give you room to move around, but not too stretchy to where it gets worn out quickly.
- Support: This is a light support sports bra, which I prefer. If you’re looking for a high-support sports bra, you’d be better off with a different collection, since most of Whitney’s pieces are light support.
- Appearance: This might be my favorite Gymshark sports bra, looks-wise. It’s incredibly flattering and unlike anything I’ve seen before from them. I love the longline fit, since it can be worn more like a crop top. The leaf green color is beautiful as well.
- Removable Pads: Yes, this has them.
- Functionality (in the gym): This held up so well in the gym and was really comfy. I was a little worried with the lower cut that I’d be adjusting it 24/7 during my workout, but that wasn’t the case. It stayed in place throughout every exercise and I didn’t worry about it.
- Sizing: I bought a small in this, which is my normal size for most brands in tops/bras. It fits well, so I’d say buy your size.
- Price Point: Not gonna lie, this is an expensive sports bra. Coming in at $46, that’s almost the same price as the leggings. However, I believe it’s more expensive due to being a long-line sports bra. Gymshark doesn’t have many longline bras to choose from, with the only other option (Elevate) coming in at $44. Since a longline bra fits more like a crop top, I think the higher price point makes sense. But is still hard to wrap my head around spending almost $50 on a sports bra. You get what you pay for, I suppose, because these pieces are high quality and will last a long time.
Whitney Cap
This hat is really cute and the perfect addition to the full set, in the leaf green color. I love wearing a hat to work out when my hair is greasy or it’s been a few days between washes.
My only complaint with this hat is it’s a little big. I have a pretty big head already, so hats normally fit me pretty snug. But this one was really large and went down a bit over my ears. (It’s easier to see in the video if you want to give that a watch at time stamp 6:32.)
It’s adjustable in the back which helps a bit, but still just overall too big.
I still love it though and will continue to wear it, because it’s a gorgeous hat. Just something to be aware of, especially if you have a smaller head.
Gymshark Whitney Simmons Review
Overall, I LOVE these pieces and will continue to wear them for my workouts for a long time. I’m sad to see Whitney’s Gymshark collections come to an end, but all good things have to end eventually.
I hope you enjoyed this honest review. If you have any questions that I missed, drop them in the comments! I’m happy to help with anything based on my experience with these pieces.
