(A few of these are from prior weeks, but I haven&#8217;t shared them yet so they&#8217;re jumping on board. ;)) I&#8217;ll share a few of the recipes I used so you guys can try them out too!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">This Week in Eats: Early August<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s start off with the most important meal of the day: breakfast! Although I absolutely love breakfast foods, a lot of times I&#8217;m not hungry when I first wake up. Especially since trying out intermittent fasting a few months ago, I don&#8217;t normally get hungry until 10-11. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Related<\/strong>: <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vitality-vixens.com\/index.php\/2020\/06\/22\/intermittent-fasting-the-pros-cons-my-168-experience\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Intermittent Fasting: My Experience + the Pros &amp; Cons<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But if someone makes a delicious breakfast for me, I&#8217;m never going to pass that up! Even though intuitive eating is mostly about eating when you&#8217;re hungry, it&#8217;s also about giving yourself permission to eat something delicious if you want to eat it. (Even if your stomach isn&#8217;t necessarily growling). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, if you&#8217;re at a wedding and you&#8217;re stuffed from the main course, but they just cut the cake&#8230; You&#8217;re not really going to pass that up because you&#8217;re not hungry, right? That&#8217;s another big factor intuitive eating, is eating at times for pleasure and not necessarily just for <em>fuel<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Related<\/strong>: <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vitality-vixens.com\/index.php\/2020\/08\/08\/what-is-intuitive-eating-how-does-it-help-you-get-to-your-healthiest-weight\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">What is Intuitive Eating &amp; How Does It Help You Get to Your Healthiest Weight?<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyways, back to the breakfast foods!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Breakfasts<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>When we were back home in Springfield, my brother made a delish egg recipe in the cast iron skillet. It had eggs, potatoes, veggies, and some other good stuff!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"667\" src=\"https:\/\/vitality-vixens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_5926-1-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2323\" srcset=\"https:\/\/vitality-vixens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_5926-1-1.jpg 500w, https:\/\/vitality-vixens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_5926-1-1-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Another day, when I was scrounging around my fam&#8217;s house for breakfast foods, I decided to concoct some berry oats. I cooked oatmeal with almond milk, then heated up some frozen berries with honey. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is my favorite way to add frozen berries to anything because they are so good warmed up and sweetened with a little honey! It&#8217;s like pie filling, but without all the added sugar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On top of that, I added a big scoop of peanut butter and sprinkled some cinnamon. I would normally add my fave <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/orgain.com\/products\/organic-protein-plant-based-protein-powder?rfsn=4770510.3f5697&amp;variant=29852864741485\" target=\"_blank\">vegan vanilla protein powder<\/a><\/span> (use code VITALITY for 30% off), but I didn&#8217;t have any at my fam&#8217;s house. I&#8217;m experimenting with food photography and trying to improve. So if you see a lot of weird angles of food photos and side views, that&#8217;s why! I definitely have a ways to go, but I&#8217;m pretty proud of where I&#8217;m at compared to a few months ago!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another breakfast that I love to make when I&#8217;m getting to the bottom of a peanut butter\/almond butter jar is jar oats! Sometimes first because usually it&#8217;s the first thing I want in the morning. (And what gets me out of bed!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve been making my <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vitality-vixens.com\/index.php\/2020\/05\/03\/my-daily-iced-coffee-recipe-dairy-sugar-free\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">iced coffee recipe<\/a><\/span> forever now, so I decided to switch things up this past month and make iced lattes! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My iced latte recipe is vegan, sugar-free, and has no artificial sweeteners. It&#8217;s also SO GOOD and incredibly addictive. I make my lattes with almond milk, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3h3wVjC\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NutPods<\/a><\/span>, and espresso. I don&#8217;t know what it is about pretzel bun burgers, but I am obsessed. It was so tasty! We had it with sliced avocado on the side. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was made with turkey sausage, red potatoes, and bell pepper. Guys, it&#8217;s so good! If you haven&#8217;t tried it yet and are a salmon fan, I would definitely recommend trying it out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s the perfect combination of sweet and savory. They&#8217;re so tasty and not as sweet as a lot of other chocolate.
