It&#8217;s the best way I&#8217;ve found to make sure I&#8217;m getting a balanced breakfast with fruits, protein, and healthy fats (in under 5 minutes). I&#8217;m all about convenient health, so smoothies are ideal for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While I would love to eat a 5-course brunch of pancakes, bacon, a spread of fruit, yogurt, etc., for breakfast every morning&#8230; That&#8217;s just not always realistic. Especially on days I work my 9-5. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you know me, you know I&#8217;m <em>not <\/em>a morning person. It takes me until 8 or 9 every morning (and after I&#8217;ve finished <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vitality-vixens.com\/index.php\/2020\/05\/03\/my-daily-iced-coffee-recipe-dairy-sugar-free\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">my coffee<\/a><\/span>) to even be functional. 100% of the time I would rather be up late at night than up early in the morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That being said, if I have to get up at 6:30-7 a.m., to go to work, I&#8217;m definitely not going to be in the mood to cook a big breakfast. But if I skip breakfast, I know I&#8217;ll be <em>hangry <\/em>by the time mid-morning rolls around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, the perfect solution for this conundrum: <strong>smoothies<\/strong>! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pro tip: they&#8217;re also perfect for a pre- or post-workout snack!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links. Thank you for your support!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Make Green Smoothies that Actually Taste Good!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A question I get a lot when it comes to green smoothies is how to make them taste better (and not like straight spinach or kale). If you drink green smoothies on the regular, I&#8217;m sure you&#8217;ve already figured out a way to make them tastier. No one wants to drink blended up kale. \ud83d\ude1d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The best way is to make sure you&#8217;re adding ingredients that will mask the flavor of the greens you add. The best way I&#8217;ve found to do this is to add a frozen banana!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is not only good for adding natural sweetness and masking the flavor of the greens, but it also is a substitute for ice. I always add frozen banana, frozen blueberries, and sometimes other frozen fruits to my smoothies. That way, I don&#8217;t have to add any ice, and the thickness &amp; consistency is perfect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By using frozen fruit instead of ice, you also keep your smoothie from being watered down and losing flavor!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re not a banana person, you can add other sweet fruits like mango, pineapple, or orange, instead.
