This one is perfect for breakfast, a pre-\/post-workout snack, or a snack any time of the day. And it is so refreshing, especially after being out in the hot FL sun!<\/p>\n<p>I buy frozen fruit in bulk and freeze any fruit that I&#8217;ve had for a bit and is going to go bad soon. Especially with bananas, I end up freezing them all the time because they get brown so fast. Just buy freezer-friendly bags, cut up the banana (or other fruit) into smaller pieces (about bite-size), and voila! Frozen fruit for days. I do the same thing with spinach that&#8217;s going to go bad soon, to put into green smoothies.<\/p>\n<p>For this smoothie, I used frozen banana, strawberries, blueberries, almond milk, and vanilla protein. Here&#8217;s a breakdown of the recipe:<\/p>\n<p>3\/4 cup frozen strawberries<\/p>\n<p>1\/4 cup frozen blueberries<\/p>\n<p>1 medium frozen banana<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk<\/p>\n<p>1 scoop <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00J074W7Q\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B00J074W7Q&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=vitalityvix06-20&amp;linkId=640b578bbf0dcc49e46a2e38f158914a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">vegan vanilla protein powder<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Topped with: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00APD3TBE\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B00APD3TBE&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=vitalityvix06-20&amp;linkId=891dfb94f5d2f2627bafe278d3a6f8bb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">gluten-free granola<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Put all ingredients and half of the almond milk in a blender &amp; blend on high. Add more almond milk as necessary for desired thickness. You may or may not use the entire 1\/2 cup or you may use more, depending on how thick you like your smoothie bowls.<\/p>\n<p>As far as toppings go, you can really top this with anything your heart desires! I just used granola on this one because I was in a rush, but you can easily add other fruits, coconut flakes, nuts, chia or flax seeds, or melted peanut butter or almond butter.
