We wanted to see if they actually work, if they&#8217;re comfortable (or give you a 24\/7 wedgie), and if they truly make you look better than regular leggings &amp; shorts. Mary&#8217;s tried more than me, so you&#8217;ll want to watch the video to get a deeper answer to this question. For the video review, she tried out quite a few different pairs from Amazon, to compare and contrast their unique looks\/comfort level. You can watch that full try-on and breakdown below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"SCRUNCH BUM SHORTS REVIEW (Does scrunch butt actually work?)\" width=\"1100\" height=\"619\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MxU-3Q1Fa7I?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>For this blog, I&#8217;ll just throw in my own opinions on the scrunch bum leggings and shorts I&#8217;ve bought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">My Experience with Scrunch Bum Leggings &amp; Shorts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve bought a pair of scrunch bum leggings from Gymshark (<a href=\"https:\/\/vitality-vixens.com\/index.php\/2022\/03\/28\/gymshark-butterfly-leggings-review\/\">butterfly collection<\/a>) and a pair of <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/JPaytfSPP3s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">shorts from NVGTN<\/a> (who is famous for their scrunch bum leggings &amp; shorts). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ll start out with the NVGTN shorts since they&#8217;re well known as a brand for scrunch bum leggings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NVGTN Scrunch bum shorts<\/h5>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/vitality-vixens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/iPhone-BLOG-PHOTO-vertical-3-768x1024.png\" alt=\"SCRUNCH BUM LEGGINGS &amp; SHORTS REVIEW (Do scrunch bum leggings really work?) | Scrunch bum leggings and shorts are popping up all over the place... But the wedgie they give you constantly&#8230; I just couldn&#8217;t deal with it. Even with constant pulling and tugging (TMI?), I still couldn&#8217;t feel comfortable during my workouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They make your butt look great, which is why a lot of people seem to flock to these types of bottoms. But for me, the comfort factor upstaged the cuteness factor. I ended up selling these shorts on <a href=\"https:\/\/poshmark.com\/closet\/erinnotz22\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Poshmark<\/a> after a few months because I just couldn&#8217;t handle the 24\/7 wedgie. No matter how cute something is, comfort always comes first for me. But I know everyone doesn&#8217;t feel that same way, so I&#8217;m sure they&#8217;re being well-loved elsewhere now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">gymshark butterfly leggings<\/h5>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/vitality-vixens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/iPhone-BLOG-PHOTO-vertical-1-768x1024.png\" alt=\"SCRUNCH BUM LEGGINGS &amp; SHORTS REVIEW (Do scrunch bum leggings really work?) | Scrunch bum leggings and shorts are popping up all over the place... You barely notice the scrunch bum on these leggings when you get them, and they don&#8217;t feel uncomfortable like the NVGTN ones. You do feel a bit more tightness in that region, but that&#8217;s what you&#8217;re signing up for with scrunch bum leggings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/vitality-vixens.com\/index.php\/2022\/03\/28\/gymshark-butterfly-leggings-review\/\">Gymshark butterfly leggings<\/a> are some of my favorite scrunch bum leggings I&#8217;ve tried. They&#8217;re comfy, and the scrunch butt adds just enough oomph to give you that extra boost in the back. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The only time I really notice the scrunch bum is when I&#8217;m doing squats. That movement stretches out the backside of any pair of leggings and makes me feel like they&#8217;re going to rip at times. However, I&#8217;ve never experienced any rips\/tears to these leggings, so that seems to be all in my head. I&#8217;ve worn these leggings countless times to the gym *on leg day* and they&#8217;re still going strong. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Whitney Simmons x gymshark shorts<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/vitality-vixens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/iPhone-BLOG-PHOTO-vertical-2-768x1024.png\" alt=\"SCRUNCH BUM LEGGINGS &amp; SHORTS REVIEW (Do scrunch bum leggings really work?) | Scrunch bum leggings and shorts are popping up all over the place... When I first got these and wore them a few times, I didn&#8217;t even notice the scrunch bum, because it&#8217;s extremely subtle. You almost have to be looking for it to notice it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The clothes from Whitney&#8217;s Gymshark collections are always a buttery soft, thinner material, which could explain why the scrunch bum isn&#8217;t as prominent. In my opinion, these are some of the best scrunch bum shorts I&#8217;ve had, because you don&#8217;t even notice it when wearing them. But they still give you that extra boost in appearance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Final Thoughts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, all the scrunch bum leggings and shorts I&#8217;ve bought definitely do their job: to accentuate your butt. If you&#8217;re buying a pair of these, that&#8217;s probably what you&#8217;re going for. So I&#8217;d say they 100% do what they&#8217;re made for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, I&#8217;d choose regular leggings\/shorts over scrunch bum leggings 100% of the time, due to the comfort factor. If you&#8217;re not bothered by the feeling of a wedgie and tightness in the butt region, you won&#8217;t need to worry about this. But if you&#8217;re the type of person who prioritizes comfort over appearance, I&#8217;d say you&#8217;re generally better off without the scrunch bum. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When it comes to choosing a brand, I prefer Gymshark&#8217;s scrunch bum leggings over NVGTN&#8217;s. I know, hot take.
