Are they squat proof? Comfortable? Good for running/lifting/etc? Let’s get into all those questions and more…
Paragon Fitwear Shorts Review

Now, let’s get into the Paragon Fitwear shorts review…
LiteSpeed Fast Track Short
Colors in order: Milkshake (pink), Black, Macaron (blue), Sucker (purple)
I was so excited about these shorts because I’d already been on the lookout for more double layer shorts for running this spring/summer.
These have a slightly longer inseam (4.5″) than some of Paragon’s other shorts, which is perfect for running. They also have pockets and an adjustable drawstring to make sure they stay in place during runs.
Not to mention how CUTE are these colors??? I couldn’t help myself I literally got one of every color they put out during the Sugar High Launch.
They are breathable and super stretchy, high rise shorts.
Squat proof?
These are fully squat proof since they’re double layered! On the lighter colors (like pink and blue), you can see darker underwear through the first layer, but not the second layer at all, so these are good to go for leg day.
They are a little longer in the back so you get great coverage in these and don’t have to worry about anything on your walks/runs.
Post run thoughts:
These are great for walking and running! The double layer makes them so much more comfortable to run in, in my opinion, because you know you have extra coverage and don’t have to worry about constantly adjusting your shorts.
They do ride up a bit in the thighs when running (which I experience with basically all shorts, so it doesn’t bother me). But since they have the second layer, I know I am fully covered and don’t have to worry about it.
Other than that, they stay in place great in the waist and are incredibly comfy and breezy.
They also have pockets on both sides of the stretchy inner layer, which is super nice to keep your phone or keys on a run.
RecStretch Levitate Sculptseam Plus Short 6” (Color: Sucker)
High rise, anti camel toe shorts. These shorts have the Core Control waistband that is sculpting, supportive, and prevents them from rolling down.
100% squat proof (tested). Very comfortable and flattering. They do ride up in the thighs a bit with movement but nothing too much where it bothers me.
A little looser in the thighs than the Reluna original Sculptseam 5” (below), which makes them more comfy in my opinion, but probably what causes them to ride up a bit more.
They have scrunch bum but it’s pretty subtle and not uncomfy.
Tons of cute bright summery colors in this launch!
Reluna Original Sculptseam Short 5” (Vintage Indigo)
These shorts are very cute & comfortable! These do not have scrunch bum.
They stay in place well when moving around. They are a bit tighter in the thighs which keeps them in place and not riding up when you’re moving around, which is nice!
Tested and 100% squat proof.
Also, if you’re looking for a cute and comfortable mid length workout top, this one is awesome!
The LiteSpeed Short Sleeve Mid is a fitted, unlined, short sleeve shirt. The mid length is my absolute favorite in shirts like this, not too long or short and hits just above the waistband of high waisted shorts or leggings.
RecStretch Original Sculptseam Plus Short 6″
Mercury
These shorts are a very comfy, buttery soft material. They do have a scrunch bum (which I normally don’t love in shorts, but in these it’s pretty subtle and not too much or uncomfortable.)
They hug in all the right places and are very flattering.
The only complaint I have is that they ride up a bit on the thighs when moving around, for me personally. This happens to me with most shorts that are a buttery soft material and aren’t super compressive, so i’m not surprised by this, with my body type.
Overall it doesn’t bother me and you get used to it, just something to be aware of that they won’t 100% stay in place if you have bigger thighs.
I did a squat test they are fully squat proof.
Water Sign
The color i’m OBSESSED. I love a dusty blue in leggings or shorts and these are so gorgeous. They match with so many different colored tops and are so versatile.
These shorts are incredibly comfortable, buttery soft, and move with you. They have scrunch bum in the back since they’re Sculptseam Plus, but it’s not overwhelming or uncomfortable like I normally feel with scrunch bum. It’s pretty subtle and comfy.
These shorts are fantastic for going on a walk, wearing out and about, or for workouts.
Same complaint as the mercury color with them riding up a bit. But again, this happens to me with basically all shorts, so it doesn’t surprise me or really bother me.
All in all, I absolutely love these shorts and they’re some of my favorite shorts I have from Paragon.

CloudRib Original Sculptseam Short 5″ (Color: Mercury)
These shorts are very comfy and fit so well! They don’t ride up as much as the sculptseam plus around your thighs when you move around and stay in place better.
I think this is due to not having the scrunch bum like the sculptseam plus shorts do, so there’s not as much pulling the shorts upwards.
I love the ribbed material on these and it’s such a cute change from the classic fabric.
These are still really soft and comfortable to wear for walks, workouts, or just out and about.
I did a squat test they are fully squat proof.
In Conclusion
Paragon’s shorts are some of the comfiest, cutest I’ve found from any activewear brand. I absolutely love the Fast Track shorts for running and the other shorts for lifting, walking, or lounging.
