If you’re anything like me, as soon as November rolls around, you’re ready for those HOLIDAY drinks, baby! I love a nice warm peppermint mocha as much as anyone, but sometimes you just need an iced coffee in your life. So I figured, what better time to roll out a peppermint cold brew recipe than now? The weather’s still warm enough to drink iced coffee (I mean, it always is in Florida, but that’s beside the point.) But I’m definitely in the mood for more holiday flavors. So, let’s get right into this recipe.
Peppermint Cold Brew Recipe
This recipe is simple to make, and you can use store-bought cold brew. I personally love the mocha flavor from Wandering Bear in this recipe. It adds a nice hint of chocolate, which complements the peppermint flavor perfectly. *Chef’s kiss!*
But honestly, you can use whatever you want. If you’re feeling fancy (or have some extra time on your hands) you can brew your own cold brew as well. Either way, it’s gonna be delicious!
This cold brew recipe is also completely dairy-free, so my lactose-intolerant friends can have at it. And my friends who just enjoy non-dairy coffee more (cough cough, me) this is perfect for you.
All you need for this recipe is:
- milk frother (optional, but highly recommended)
- ice
- cold brew
- peppermint syrup
- peppermint nutpods (use code vitalityvixens for 15% off your first purchase!)
- peppermint extract
You don’t need the milk frother, but I personally think foamy cold brew is the best kind of cold brew. If you don’t have one, that’s perfectly fine. You can just skip the frothing step and mix your ingredients together with a good ol’ spoon.
If you have any other coffee recipes you’ve been wanting to try, let me know in the comments! I love whipping up new cold brews, lattes, and everything else, so I’m happy to come up with anything. My caffeine-addicted heart will always say yes to new coffee recipes. 😉
Note: This recipe is pretty sweet so if you prefer your coffee less sweet, only use 1 tbsp of the peppermint syrup! I love it super sweet, but sometimes I’m feeling a more semi-sweet vibe and will do less peppermint. It’s up to your taste preferences, so experiment with the amount to get it just right.
Peppermint Cold Brew
Equipment
- milk frother (optional)
Ingredients
- 8 fl oz cold brew
- ice to preference
- 3 fl oz peppermint mocha nutpods
- 2 tbsp peppermint syrup
- 1/4 tsp peppermint extract
Instructions
- Pour your cold brew and ice into a glass, leaving about an inch of room at the top. Stir in 1 1/2 tbsp peppermint syrup (the rest will be used in the next step.)
- In your milk frother, add 1/2 tbsp peppermint syrup, your peppermint extract, and your nutpods. Push the button for cold foam and let it froth up. *If you don't have a milk frother, just stir these ingredients into the cold brew from step 1.)
- Once the cold foam is nice & foamy, pour it on top of the cold brew. Make sure to go nice and slow so that it sits on top of the cold brew. Voila!
