Topping
1tbspbutter
1-2tbsphoneydepending on how sweet you want it
1/2tspvanilla extract
1/2tspcinnamon
1/4tspnutmeg
pinchof salt
1packet gluten-free oats
1/8cupchopped walnuts
Apples
1applediced
1tbspbutter
1tbspbrown sugar
1/2tspcinnamon
Top with dairy-free whipped cream & cinnamon (or your choice of sweet topping!)
Instructions
In a small saucepan on medium heat, add in the Topping ingredients. Heat on medium, stirring often, until it starts to get bubbly then crisp (about 3-4 minutes) then remove from heat.
In a small frying pan, add the Apples ingredients. Heat on low-medium, stirring often until the apple is slightly soft to the touch (about 5 minutes). *If the apple starts to brown before it is getting soft, add in water (1 tbsp at a time), throw a lid on the pan, and reduce to low heat.
Pour the topping onto the apple mixture in a bowl, mix together, & top with dairy-free whip. Voila!
